Community Outreach

The Latino Health Institute’s Community Outreach Program serves two purposes.  It helps raise awareness of the Institute and the services it provides.  It also serves as a forum to help educate the Hispanic community about the health challenges they face and to provide culturally attuned information regarding the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases.

Request a speaker

The Latino Health Institute supplies speakers for local community events.  Our community outreach program spreads the word about specific health challenges and solutions to Hispanic New Yorkers and to other underserved communities.  Serious health problems our physician-speakers address include diabetes, cardiovascular disease, HIV/AIDS, asthma, obesity, and cancer prevention and treatment.
